Motipix respects intellectual property rights and expects all users of the Platform to do the same. This Copyright Policy explains our approach to copyright protection and the procedures we follow when addressing alleged copyright infringement.

Copyright Ownership

Platform Content: All designs, assets, and products created by the Motipix team are the exclusive property of Motipix and are protected under applicable copyright laws. Any unauthorized use, copying, modification, or distribution of this content is strictly prohibited.

User-Submitted Content: Content uploaded to Motipix by users remains the responsibility of the individual who submitted it. By uploading content, users confirm that they own the necessary rights or have obtained valid authorization from the copyright holder to share and distribute the material on the Platform.

Platform Disclaimer

Motipix operates as a neutral online platform for hosting and distributing digital content. We do not provide legal advice, verify ownership claims, or adjudicate intellectual property disputes between users. Responsibility for uploaded content remains solely with the user who submits it.

Motipix does not independently verify or validate copyright ownership of user-submitted content. Users are solely responsible for ensuring that the content they upload does not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of third parties.

Reporting Copyright Infringement

If you believe that copyrighted material belonging to you has been posted on Motipix without proper authorization, you may submit a copyright infringement report through our designated reporting channel. Your notice should include the following information:

A clear description of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed.
The specific location (URL) of the allegedly infringing material.
Your contact details, including your name and email address.
A statement confirming your good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
A statement affirming that the information provided is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.

DMCA Compliance

Motipix complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). Upon receipt of a valid DMCA notice, we may remove or restrict access to the allegedly infringing content. Users who repeatedly infringe copyright or receive repeated infringement claims may have their accounts suspended or terminated, at our discretion.

A valid DMCA notice should include:

A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
Identification of the material alleged to be infringing, with sufficient information to allow Motipix to locate it.
Your contact information, including your name, address, and email.
A statement confirming a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized.
A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information provided is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

DMCA Counter-Notification

If you believe that content you uploaded to Motipix was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification in accordance with Section 512(g) of the DMCA.

A valid counter-notification must include:

Your physical or electronic signature.
Identification of the material that was removed or disabled and its prior location before removal.
A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
Your name, address, and email address.
A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the courts located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and agreeing to accept service of process from the party who submitted the original DMCA notice or their agent.

Notice for Non-US and EU Users

For users located outside the United States, including the European Union, Motipix responds to intellectual property complaints in accordance with applicable local laws and generally accepted notice-and-takedown principles.

If you believe that content on Motipix infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, you may submit a notice containing sufficient information to identify the protected work, the allegedly infringing material, and your contact details. Motipix may remove or restrict access to content where appropriate.

Motipix does not assess the legal merits of ownership disputes and may act on notices received in good faith to maintain platform integrity and legal compliance.

Account Termination

In appropriate circumstances, Motipix may suspend or terminate accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers or who repeatedly violate intellectual property rights.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising out of or relating to this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
