Items must meet a set of quality, technical, and presentation standards intended to ensure a consistent experience for all users.

  • Originality – Items must be original works of the author.
  • Technical accuracy – Files must function as described, match the stated properties, and meet format requirements.
  • Presentation – Titles, descriptions, previews, and metadata must be accurate, and complete.
  • Content quality – Submissions should demonstrate a high level of quality in the execution of creative concepts that are purposeful and suitable for practical use.

Title and description

  • Item title should be short and must not include the word "animation" and format "Lottie" or "Rive".
  • The description should briefly explain the concept or idea behind the animation if needed. Adding external links or contact details is not allowed.

Animation properties

The following details are required:

  • Dimensions: width and height in pixels.
  • Frame rate: frames per second (fps).
  • Compressed file size: the size of the final exported file (e.g., .json .lottie or .riv).

Preview files

  • Every item must include an image and preview video prepared by the author.
  • The video should be a maximum of 400px on the longest side and uploaded in MP4 or WebM format.
  • Preview files should accurately represent the animation and must not include author branding or watermarks.

File organization

  • File naming – When uploading ZIP files, use short, descriptive, and consistent file names to make contents easy to understand.
  • Layer and composition naming – Use clear and consistent naming for compositions and layers in all files.
  • Logical structure – Organize assets, compositions, and folders in a clear and predictable way.

Source files

Project files are mandatory for every item and are required to verify ownership. The standard source files are:

  • Lottie: .aep (Adobe After Effects project file).
  • Rive: .rev (Rive backup file containing the complete, uncompressed project data).

Please remove unused compositions and assets from project files.

In case of Lottie animation: the use of any software other than After Effects must be clearly stated in the item description.
